Parkner Matsal
Smooth ordering and payment during lunch with Trivec’s self-service checkout
In February this year, Parkner Matsal in Mölndal opened its doors—a lunch and event restaurant where the owner, Camilla Parkner, focuses on a cozy atmosphere combined with self-service.

Efficiency in a pleasant environment is the concept that attracts many to Parkner Matsal—whether for a good lunch, a fun event, or a festive Christmas dinner. Parkner Matsal uses several solutions from Trivec, including a stationary POS system, a tablet, and Trivec Buddy, which is Trivec’s QR solution.
Self-Service
Camilla has extensive experience in the restaurant industry and knows that lunch service needs to be efficient, as most guests dine between 11:00 and 13:30. Almost 99% of all lunch purchases are made via Trivec’s tablet. The tablet is set up for self-service, pre-configured with the names of dishes and drinks. The guest simply selects the desired dish and pays. The order is placed instantly. The printer produces two receipts—one for the guest to keep and another to hand over at the counter. The guest goes to the service window, hands over the receipt, and the staff serves the meal. They don’t use a kitchen printer.
Since all purchases are made via self-service, we don’t need staff at the checkout. Instead, we can serve food directly to the guests
Stationary POS at the bar
Parkner Matsal also has a stationary POS system located at the bar, which is used when someone buys coffee (outside the coffee included in the lunch) before or after the meal. Payments are processed via the card terminal. During events, guests can pay directly at the bar, and the sales are registered through the stationary POS system.
The stationary POS system also works for invoicing, and it’s connected to Fortnox, enabling an automated process, which is fantastic
Self-Service with QR code – Trivec Buddy
Parkner Matsal also features a kiosk where guests can buy drinks and snacks at any time. The kiosk operates with QR codes. Customers scan the QR code and pay via Swish—all sales are registered in the POS system. The kiosk operates on a trust-based system since it is entirely unstaffed.
QR codes work perfectly in our unstaffed kiosk. Customers scan and pay on their own, and we don’t see any shrinkage
